Where
the Boys Are - Looking for the Gay Men in Your Area
If you are new to your area, or an old pro even
and just looking for some new men, you may be wondering how to find the gay
men in your area. To be honest, this could be a daunting task. On the other
hand if your stomping ground is the San Francisco area you probably know
of many local establishments that are filled with some of the most handsome
men in America.
Finding gay men can be easy if you know where
to look, and I'm going to help you find the way to those men no matter where
you are.
Testing the waters on the Internet is fabulous.
Thanks to sites like Yahoo and Google you can look up a myriad of topics
and combinations to find exactly what you are looking for. Give it a shot
by looking up your area and a specific type of guy. For instance, look up
the search term 'bear community gay' in Yahoo and you will find several sites
which list groups and clubs specific to these fantastic men.
Other searches on the Internet could include
terms such as 'gay personals' or 'gay singles'. The sites you will find will
be a terrific start for finding the gay men in your area. You will get a
good idea of how many gay men in your area are online, and a basic idea of
what their interests are. Additionally, you can hook up with the guys you
find on these sites and learn more about the gay scene in your area. Although
dependent on your location, you still should be able to find anywhere from
a few dozen to hundreds (or more) gay men on these sites. Based on this,
it is almost a given that you will be able to find quite a few good men in
your general area. These sites are also going to be great for getting an
idea of what are some good areas in your town to meet new men. Most personals
sites, especially the top sites, have in-depth information about where the
great places to be are to find those hot hunks you are looking for.

If you're not using the
Internet to lend a hand to your search, there are a few other obvious spots
that you can find new men. Your local gay bars and gay-owned businesses are
a great place to start. However, this is only going to be a small percentage
of your men, but you can find some great gay guys in other locations. If
you have a gay beach this is highly recommended.
You'd also be surprised how easy it is to meet
guys when you are doing everyday things. At the grocery store, or on a night
out to the movies, you will often encounter someone that strikes your fancy.
Of course, it's usually up to you on whether you make the decision to go
for it, or not. I say take that shot when you see it!
Naturally, if it is summer you'll want to check
out your festivals. One obvious place you might want to visit would be the
Pride Festivals. Whether you meet a man there or not (and chances are you
will meet way more than just one), you will have an excellent time
and you'll be glad you went.
If you are considering going on a vacation take
the chance to meet a ton of fabulous men while you are away. Gay sponsored
cruises and vacations are some of the most interesting and entertaining events
you could ever go on. You can find one of these tours or trips traveling
to nearly every location on the planet and they are always worth it!
They are filled with fun and plenty of hot men.
